Infantsee

InfantSee is a public health initiative created by the American Optometric Association (AOA) that offers free, comprehensive eye exams for infants aged 6 to 12 months, regardless of family income or insurance coverage. The program is designed to identify potential vision problems early in life, such as amblyopia (lazy eye), strabismus (crossed eyes), refractive errors, and other ocular conditions that may impact a child’s development.

Through these early screenings, optometrists can detect issues that, if left untreated, may affect a child’s ability to learn and grow. The goal of InfantSee is to ensure every child has access to quality eye care at an early age, laying the foundation for healthy vision and improved overall development. The exam is provided at no cost to the family, making it an accessible and valuable resource for every infant, especially those who may not otherwise have access to eye care.
